I became a Christian for all the wrong reasons—fear of going to hell and the desire to make my mother happy. It wasn’t until the first year of my marriage that I discovered this wasn’t enough.

I had to come to a point of brokenness. The way I was going about things wasn’t working. I realized I couldn’t be the great husband and man of God I wanted to be unless I started serving God for the right reasons: reasons that had less to do with my own needs and more to do with His will for my life. From that point onwards, my life totally changed.

The Bible has been so important to this change process. It is the Book of Life, the Ultimate Wisdom. If you sense the need for change, I encourage you to check out the Bible—and God—for yourself. You won’t be sorry.
