Offensive Tackle :: Cincinnati Bengals

I always dreamed of becoming a professional athlete. But coming from a single-parent home in a bad neighborhood, the odds were definitely against me. All I could do was apply myself to athletics and academics and hope for the best.

My efforts earned me a scholarship at USC. However, four years of college football wreaked havoc on my knees. At my first NFL tryout camp, my knees were scarred so badly the team doctors advised against drafting me.

Despite being rejected by over a dozen NFL teams, I still felt God calling me to pursue a football career. So I threw myself into the rehab process. One year later, I became a Cincinnati Bengal.

Over the next twelve years, I went to the Pro Bowl eleven times and was eventually elected to the Football Hall of Fame. My dreams have been fulfilled many times over. But such accomplishments mean little apart from God.
